Social-Emotional learning was first developed by the “Fetzer group as a conceptual framework” (Greenberg et al.,). It has been defined as “the process of acquiring the skills needed to manage and recognize emotions, develop feelings of caring and concern for others, make responsible decisions, establish positive relationships and handle challenging situations effectively” (Caldarella, Christensen, Kramer & Kronmiller 2009).
